Steel wall ties act as a thermal bridge in masonry cavity walls. The award-winning Teplo range of thermally insulating wall ties solve this problem. The range are manufactured from pultruded basalt fibers, an Advanced Composite Material which has a thermal conductivity of only 0.7W/mK which is over 70 times less than steel and 20 times less than stainless steel.
The Teplo-L-Tie was developed to allow a low thermal conductivity restraint fixing between a masonry outer leaf and an in-situ structure of concrete, masonry, timber or steel. The additional stainless steel “up stand” allows for a secondary fixing in to a range of materials.
