Who we are

This notice explains how MagmaTech Ltd. (“MagmaTech”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information
when you visit magmatech.co.uk (the “Site”) or get in touch with us.

MagmaTech Ltd. is the “data controller” responsible for your personal data under the UK GDPR and

Information we handle

We keep data collection to a minimum. Depending on how you use the Site, this may include:

• Information you choose to give us — for example, your name and contact details and the
  content of your message if you email or call us with an enquiry.
• Basic technical information that our website and hosting provider record automatically when
  any website is visited (such as IP address and browser type), used only to keep the Site
  running and secure.

We do not sell your personal data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it for profiling
or automated decision-making.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To respond to and follow up on enquiries you send us, and to keep ordinary business records
  of our correspondence. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in running our business and
  dealing with enquiries (and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a
  contract).
• To operate, maintain and protect the Site. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in keeping the
  Site available and secure.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes set out above — for
example, for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards for
our business records — and then delete or anonymise it. We do not keep information for longer than
necessary.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your information secure.

A cookie is a small file placed on your device by a website.

We only use essential cookies — the limited cookies needed to make the Site work and keep it
secure (for example, remembering that you have closed our cookie message). These do not require

analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics), and we don’t track you across other websites.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell or rent your data. We may share it only with trusted providers who help us run the Site
and our business (such as our website hosting provider, acting on our instructions), and with

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or
object to how we use it, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you are
unhappy with how we have handled it.

allowed by law (normally one month).
